Vimes and Vetinary don’t conquer the world, and that’s enough of a story. Casually anti-racist, casually pacifist, in Pratchett’s weirdly conservative way. Nearly halfway through the Discworld series but still more in the “producing lots of hilarious jokes” mode for the most part.
